Abstract:
Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communication system suffers from rapid changes in communication channels, i.e., UAV jitter, due to unintended fluctuations of UAV body. UAV jitter have a great negative impact on establishing robust transmission link in the UAV millimeter-wave (mmWave) communication system. We proposed a robust analog beamforming scheme to maintain stable link connections in the presence of UAV jitter. The method involves minimizing outage probability through beam widening and activated antenna element selection based on Angle of Arrival (AoA) information. Numerical experiments confirm its superiority over a narrow beam approach and highlight the impact of UAV jitter on outage performance.
