Abstract:

The Kiln brick loss is the most serious problem in Cement Plants. Usually the Kiln Shell Temperature Monitoring System (KSTMS) is monitored along the entire length of the kiln providing an essential indication of the health of the refractory material. In general, the operator through the maximum, minimum, and average kiln temperature profiles with configurable alarm zones and the Kiln Shell thermal image. The preliminary study adopted the application of Hilbert Huang Transform (HHT) to analysis the data of the KSTMS and predict the occurrence of time and location of refractory failure. The analysis result confirms the proposed method can improve the inadequate at the trend analysis for failure prediction.
