Abstract:

This paper investigates an adaptive passivity-based controller for single-inductor, dual-output (SIDO) buck dc-dc converters operating in continuous-conduction mode. Cross-regulation is the main problem of these converters in which their output voltages are being coupled to each other. Subsequently, the state-space averaging method is used for modeling of the system. A new passivity-based controller is designed to decouple the output voltages. Afterwards, an algebraic parameter identification algorithm is designed to estimate unknown parameters, i.e., loads and input voltage. Some simulations and experiments are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the designed controller in reducing cross-regulation and the robustness of the proposed system towards input voltage and loads variations.
