Abstract:

Digital Twin (DT) is one of the most cutting-edge technologies in the field of intelligent transportation. Through a comprehensive search and analysis of the literature over the past 10 years, this paper summarizes the basic concepts, characteristics and applications of DT in smart transportation infrastructure. The application objects include tunnel construction, subway stations, structure health and tunnel pavement. The data used in collaboration are laser scan data, geological parameters, gas and camera and loT sensors. The methodology can combine long-short-term memory, random forest, gated recurrent unit, augmented reality, and virtual tunnel boring machine. The application of DT in transportation infrastructure offers several advantages including high accuracy, real-time feedback, integration of cutting-edge technologies, and intelligent civil engineering. It has the potential to enhance the future intelligent transportation system.
