Abstract:

Galileo is going to introduce the High Accuracy Service (HAS) in the near future. The HAS encoded message is longer than traditional GNSS messages and requires particular satellite allocation methods in order to avoid page repetitions. This paper proposes two candidate algorithms to allocate pages to satellites in an optimal way, then provides a preliminary characterization. By pairing satellites with the maximum possible in-between distances users on earth will experience a very low number of page repetitions ensuring a fast message retrieval.
