Abstract:
Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology has received a widespread attention due to its versatility. With the wide implementation of RFID technology in manufacturing sites such as shop floors, typical production could be converted into smart manufacturing environment where more and more data are collected and accumulated. Big data analytics provide a good solution to process and analyze data in supporting manufacturing management. This paper introduces a case study of a given RFID dataset from manufacturing shop floors and realizes the data cleansing and data clustering algorithms in Python. Key findings and observations are obtained, which can be used for further investigation.
