Abstract:
Edge computing technology can effectively provide low-latency services and distribute traffic within the network by placing virtualization services in cloud servers close to user access. When edge computing is applied compared to commercial networks in a tactical network environment with resource constraints such as link bandwidth, tactical services can be provided stably and efficiently, and thus related research is being worked. However, in a tactical network in which the network topology changes, the current edge computing technology has difficulty in satisfying the functions required for service continuity according to network mobility. In addition, the current tactical network, which is designed based on virtual machines, is far from a tactical network environment in which requires minimization of service disruption time. In this paper, we propose container based tactical edge cloud and define method for support service continuity due to the mobility of the tactical network.
