Abstract:

The possibility of fully powering with renewable energies a remote resort is studied here. More specifically, an island resort in the Maldives is studied, to be powered by a hybrid solar+wind system. This isolated accommodation establishment, is off-grid having to produce its own reverse osmosis drinking water, energy for cooking, lighting, etc. An analysis of needs is carried out to design a possible installations allowing this type of establishment to use renewable energies.
