Abstract:

This conference paper proposes a dual-band bandpass filter (BPF) based on the quadruple-mode open stub loaded square ring resonator (OSLSRR). By using the odd-/even-mode method and transmission line theory, the resonance frequencies and transmission zeros of the quadruple-mode OSLSRR are analyzed, respectively. The OSLSRR yields four resonant modes and two finite transmission zeros. The first oddmode and first even-mode of the quadruple-mode are used for the second-order lower passband operating at 1.75 GHz, and other two together with a pair of half-wavelength resonators are applied for the fourth-order higher passband operating at 3.1 GHz. The suppression between the two passbands is improved by locating one transmission zero at the upside of the lower passband and the other at the low side of the higher passband. Finally, both the simulation and the test results are provided to illustrate the performance of the proposed dual-band BPF.
