Abstract:

The growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) at a rapid pace and its integration with various other technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain has raised several security concerns. Considering the decentralized nature of Blockchain and growing number of IoT devices, integrating both can have several advantages and can improve security. However, this integration also gave rise to new attacks. In this paper, we provide a survey of various attacks that are applicable for an IoT infrastructure that is embedded with Permissioned blockchain. When compared with public blockchains, Permissioned blockchains have lesser attack vector. We considered those attacks that will be applicable for Permissioned blockchains. We classify the attacks into IoT device attacks, Blockchain attacks, Network attacks and Malware attacks.
