Abstract:

This work considered the problem of limiting the control signal, the elements of the state vector and the state variables derivatives in the sliding mode control methodology. To construct a sliding mode control law, the reaching law method was applied. Subsequently, the switching variable decrease rate was calculated in such a way to guarantee the fastest, monotonic convergence of the state vector to the previously selected sliding manifold in the same time satisfying mentioned restrictions. Finally, the sufficient condition for these qualities was stated and exhibited.
