Abstract:

For the majority of the people social media are the first choice when exchanging information. Nevertheless for a variety of reasons such communication services play a minor role in certain fields of application. This article illustrates the range of social network technologies and services that are compatible with the needs of authorities and service providers in crisis. The representatives of the organizations are fully embedded in development processes from the beginning, in order to factor in assets and drawbacks of a communication tool similar to social media. The results showed that the communication via social media is directly, easily and instantly and may simplify quick responses. And also personalized sites as we know them from Facebook and xing may unburden the first contact to unknown people subjectively.
