Abstract:

In the tactical network environment which has resource constrains and lack of stability, edge computing technology can provide advantages for a survivability, reachability and connectivity for tactical application services. In this paper, we propose a hierarchical edge cloud structure suitable for tactical network environments with the LISP-based ID/Location separation to provide continuous reachability to virtualized services. The proposed architecture can support survivability improvement through a hierarchical mapping system configuration. Additionally, service mobility scenarios in the proposed architecture are semantically designed to provide dynamic mobility of virtualization services.
