Abstract:

In this paper, we consider a wireless powered cooperative communication network taking the direct link into account, in which one source-destination pair communicates with each other through multiple decode-and-forward relays, and the relays adopt power-splitting technique to decode source information and harvest energy simultaneously. We propose a selection cooperation protocol based on automatic repeat request (ARQ) mechanism in which the relays can harvest the energy from the source information during each round of ARQ transmission. Besides, we make full use of all channels and take the relay-relay channels into account to improve the reliability. Simulation results are provided to demonstrate the performance enhancement of the proposed protocol.
