Abstract:
We present preliminary numerical results related to the effective refractive index, in both linear and nonlinear regimes, for Silicon-rich Silicon Nitride nanowires with different geometric parameters. We also develop an analytical approach and a numerical model that allows to get design maps useful for the realization of the device takin into account also the fabrication tolerances. This work sets the basis for the design of a full nonlinear Mach-Zehnder Interferometer where both arms of the device, included the input and output waveguides along with their bends, are nonlinear.
