Abstract:
In light of the upcoming 5G and beyond services demands, a current trend on establishing a network management system that enables guaranteeing the expected service performance exists. In this matter, this work presents a novel framework focused on the service maintenance stage, highlighting the benefits of a joint use of QoS parameters retrieved from the 5G-based infrastructure and of QoE parameters received as feedback from the 5G verticals/end users. To describe this approach, this paper presents a 5G-enabled architecture tailored for this purpose, besides providing an analysis on the different set of parameters to be monitored and possible policy-based response actuations. Moreover, the workflow for service maintenance in this case is also described. As a result, the advantages of considering both QoS and QoE data to guarantee the expected 5G service performance are finally discussed.
