Abstract:
In this paper, we present an overview on our developed high-power, broadband, and high dynamic range laser-based THz sources. These sources operate in a range between hundreds of kHz to MHz of repetition rate and can reach mW of THz average power. This enables applications like THz-TDS or pump-probe spectroscopy to be massively accelerated. Application fields such as the investigation of water molecular dynamics or THz imaging benefit from the dynamic range and bandwidths provided by these sources. In particular, samples with large absorption coefficient in the THz range have been very difficult to characterize so far. Our high-power sources make an efficient investigation with simultaneously high signal strength possible.
