Abstract:
Transparent reflective metasurfaces offer a flexible paradigm for controlling electromagnetic waves. This paper explores the design and application of transparent metasurfaces across a broad spectrum, from microwaves to visible light. We take advantage of three examples involving engineered geometries and reconfigurable materials to achieve distinct functionalities, such as beam shaping and steering, modulation, and selective color reflection. These results highlight the potential of transparent reflective metasurfaces for dynamic and intelligent control of electromagnetic wave properties.
