This paper examines the deployment of a 5G network based on open-source projects. Different projects for deploying network core and radio access network are discussed, analyzed, and highlighted for their advantages and disadvantages. In the context of open source, the options for using hardware for network deployment were discussed. As the result, a possible option for deploying the 5G network and its testing is given. The aim of this article is to compare different projects for 5G networks and provide a potential option for deployment.
