Abstract:

The purpose of the presented work is the development of relaxation-based fractional supercapacitor model which allows to improve the charging methods and control algorithms. The methods of supercapacitor relaxation analysis are investigated. The convolution-based method is selected in accordance with the results of relaxation characteristics analysis. The fractional order model is used for prediction of the influence of initial conditions on supercapacitor relaxation processes. The proposed supercapacitor model accounts the initial conditions distributed by fractal law and allows accurate prediction of supercapacitor relaxation dynamics in complicated transient processes. The obtained results allow to improve the process of supercapacitor-based power electronics design with accurate accounting of relaxation phenomena.
