Abstract:

This paper presents a novel framework for designing and simulating the decentralized control of Building Management Systems (BMS) in an object-orientated way. The proposed approach follows physical structure of building as a starting point for its automation software development. The architecture proposed enables simulation in the loop with plant model that can be created without extra development efforts. The decentralized control logics of the BMS subsystems can be developed independently from the deployment configurations thanks to the properties of IEC 61499 reference architecture.
