Abstract:

A novel topology with applying the concept of the embedded technique to an active switched-capacitor qZSI topology named an active switched-capacitor embedded quasi-Z source inverter (ASC-EqZSI) topology is proposed. By inserting one diode and switch to the classic qZSI and embedding a single dc voltage source at the impedance network, the proposed topology has high boost factor, and performs a reduced voltage stress on the switching devices of PWM inverter. The performances of the proposed topology are validated through simulation and experimental results.
