Abstract:

An ac/dc power conversion using Class DE voltage driven low dv/dt rectifier can perform in high efficiency by satisfying switching conditions zero-voltage-derivative-switching and zero-voltage-switching when the diodes turn off. The output voltage of the Class DE voltage driven low dv/dt rectifier is determined by the capacitance when the load resistance and the input voltage are fixed. In this paper, the Class DE voltage driven low dv/dt rectifier with switch-controlled capacitor (SCC) is proposed. The proposed circuit is composed of the Class DE voltage driven low dv/dt rectifier and SCC which is a series circuit of an active switch and a capacitor. The output voltage is variable by changing the states of the active switches. In the circuit experiments, the output voltage was regulated from 2.92 V to 4.88 V at the four steps.
