Abstract:

A fully Soft switched current-fed parallel resonant full-bridge converter with closed loop control is proposed for PV applications. The proposed converter is capable to achieve soft switching in all the active switches with the aid of new modulation technique. Efficiency of the proposed converter is high as there are no lossy snubbers used. The proposed converter maintains soft switching and tight voltage regulation despite of load and input voltage variations. Design and consideration of the converter is presented. Simulations are carried with the closed loop control scheme to show the robust performance of the converter for input and load variations.
