Photovoltaic applications require reliable and highly efficient power converters. Therefore, accurate models are the basis for designing, simulating and producing such converters. This paper reviews and discusses the main models inside them and shows simulation and experimental results demonstrating the importance of using an accurate model and how to build such model.
