Abstract:

This paper purpose is the hardware implementation of the Recursive Stationary Wavelet Packet Transform (RSWPT) technique in a STM32F4 board based on ARM processor. RSWPT is used for fault detection of an induction motor by using lower sampling rate and reduced current samples, thus restricting the embedded resources consumption. The hardware implementation performances of this technique are evaluated in the case of Broken Rotor Bar (BRB) fault. The experimental results show the effectiveness of the RSWPT to reliably extract the fault feature using a low-cost embedded environment.
