Abstract:
We address a novel look at the problem of computational simulation of different tasks related to enhancement and post-processing of the remote sensing (RS) imagery provided with different sensor systems/methods as required for end-user-oriented environmental monitoring and resource management. The unified intelligent regularization enhancement/reconstruction/post-processing methodology is developed and the “Virtual RS Laboratory” (VRSL) software is elaborated that provides the end-user with efficient computational tools to perform numerical simulations of different RS image processing problems. Computer simulation examples are reported to illustrate the usefulness of the elaborated VRSL for algorithmic-level optimization of highresolution image formation, enhancement and post-processing tasks performed with the real-world RS imagery.
