This paper presents a low power current steering CMOS folding amplifier. This folding amplifier can reduce not only the number of reference current sources, but also the power dissipation of a CMOS folding ADC. Simulation in both 5 V and 3.3 V CMOS process has demonstrated that the current steering folding amplifier can run much faster than the conventional folding amplifier at the same power consumption.
