Abstract:

A micropower power programmable bandpass filter for use in bionic ears was built using a Gm-C topology with capacitive attenuation and subthreshold MOS operation. In a 1.5/spl mu/m process and a 2.8V power supply, the filter demonstrates 66dB of dynamic range while operating on 2/spl mu/W of power to filter between 5kHz and 10kHz. When filtering between 250Hz and 500Hz, the power consumption is less than 45nW.
