Abstract:
Digital still cameras usually use one CCD with a color filter array to capture less-than-full-resolution color images, and rely on interpolation to reconstruct the missing pixels to achieve full resolution. In this paper, we proposed a novel interpolation method, Spatial Varying Filter (SVF), that is a simple and efficient edge-preserving filter capable of giving high quality images. Its performance is verified by simulation results.
