Abstract:

Physically Unclonable Functions (PUFs) are unidirectional circuits, commonly implemented on silicon wafers, which are able to provide unique outputs despite having the same physical layout as their counterparts. This research focuses on implementing SRAM PUF circuits on Silicon Germanium wafers, which is a process that is gaining in popularity in industry. Our PUF circuits are evaluated against tests from the National Institute of Standards and Technology for randomness. We also cover traditional metrics such as hamming distance for evaluation of uniqueness and reliability.
