Abstract:
Dynamic error compensation techniques are applied to a current-to-frequency converter to enhance the matching behavior of such circuits operated in sensor array applications. Chopping and dynamic element matching are directly driven by the output signal of the converter. Compared to uncompensated circuits and depending on the topology used, an up to fivefold improvement is found concerning the homogeneity in array applications.
