Abstract:
In this note, we interpret the dynamics of sampled-data systems by means of time-delayed descriptor (or singular) state-space differential expressions. The technique can be viewed as continuous-time remodeling for sampled-data systems, which is different from the well-known lifting that provides us essentially with operator-valued discretized models defined in between infinite-dimensional function spaces. The descriptor re-expression is also a continuous-time relationship for the hybrid dynamics in the sampled-data systems, and thus can pave a way for us to do analysis and synthesis based on the concepts and techniques of a continuous-time viewpoint.
