Abstract:

This paper describes an improved Nagata current source insensitive to temperature utilizing MOSFET drain current temperature characteristics, as well as supply voltage variation. The proposed circuit does not require a start-up circuit or special resistors, and it is simple-yet-effective as a stable reference current source. Its circuit operation principle and SPICE simulation results are presented.
