The determination of amino acids and their derivatives is of great importance in the clinical, nutritional, and biotechnological fields. It is shown that the Pt-Ni electrode studied in this work could potentially serve as a part of an electronic tongue sensor array, providing a good alternative to the currently used determination/identification methods, which often require derivatization and expensive analytical instruments.
