Abstract:

This paper proposes a switched capacitor configuration equivalent to the continuous-time relaxation digital-to-analog converter (ReDAC) with positive and negative polarity output using high pass filter (HPF). First, it is shown that the original bit-serial DAC is a switched capacitor configuration equivalent to the original continuous-time ReDAC with LPF, which generates only positive output. Then we present configuration and operation of the switched capacitor DAC (or discrete-time DAC) equivalent to the continuous-time ReDAC with HPF which generates positive and negative polarity output.
