Abstract:

In traditional physical coupling methods, the junction area is the bottleneck for train operation. However, with virtual coupling, trains can move synchronously as a fleet of V2V-connected trains, which can be treated as a single unit. And the efficiency of train operation in the junction area is improved. This paper aims to address the integration of cooperative control and microscopic scheduling for trains in the junction area, specifically under virtual coupling conditions. Firstly, the paper proposes a dynamics model that takes into account the virtual coupling of trains and the longitudinal force situation of trains. Secondly, the paper proposes a cooperative game method is proposed that considers the passing order and coupling situation of trains in the junction area under virtual coupling conditions. To verify the validity and flexibility of the proposed model, a series of cases are conducted in this paper. These cases demonstrate the effectiveness and stability of the method proposed in this paper. Furthermore, by comparing the mobile blocking mode with the virtual grouping mode, this paper demonstrates the latter's improvement of the train capacity in the junction area.
