Abstract:

Target identification based on wireless sensors networks (WSN) is considered as one of the main objectives in “area monitoring” concepts. In this paper, we propose a novel network design for target monitoring area. In our design, we apply no more than two types of nodes sensors. Therefore, we use a simple probabilistic formula to ensure accurate target identification with a minimum of hardware, computational and processing resources compared to other sensors and identification methods. By this work, we develop a novel algorithm to classify targets and arrange them among the three classes (Person carrying metal, Soldier, and Vehicle).
