Abstract:

The Multi User-Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) technique offers big advantages over traditional MIMO solutions. Nevertheless, Nonlinearity of High Power Amplifier (HPA) presents a crucial role in the performance of MU-MIMO systems. This paper investigates the performance of Massive MIMO system in the presence of nonlinear HPA over Rayleigh fading channel. Different receivers and algorithms are used in order to illustrate this fact, such as LS, MMSE, ZF and AMP, are evaluated and mutually compared. Specifically, we assess the effect of the nonlinear distortion on the BER. Numerical results are provided and show the impacts of several system parameters, such as type of receivers, number of antennas, number of users and values of IBO, on system performance.
