Abstract:
This paper proposes an efficient method for multi-path mitigation in GNSS that uses BOC signals. This method determines the maximum width of a W2 window in a CCRW receiver to mitigate multipath effects. The length of this window is iteratively reduced until it reaches a value with which the distortion produced by multipath is eliminated. This distortion is measured as the Euclidean distance between the actual discriminator (obtained for the incoming signal), and the local discriminator (generated with a local copy of the signal). The effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated through simulations of multipath environments. The principal advantage of the proposed scheme is that it is simple to implement.
