Abstract:
In this work we introduce the full characterization of an Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) sensor. The chip, fabricated in a standard 0.5μm channel length CMOS process, implements a light sensor having a programmable non-uniform detectivity. The response of the chip was studied for three different wavelengths. Also, a color dependent crosstalk analysis was carried out. This design is intended for a non-diffractive beam optical encoder, but the ideas presented in this work could be used in other custom light sensors. The crosstalk analysis improves the comprehension of this phenomenon in CMOS sensors.
