Abstract:

We propose and analyze a self-controlled playing strategy, named reneging strategy, for users competing for receiving wireless power. In contrast to a non-reneging strategy, users can leave the game if their received power is not up to their expectation. The performance of the reneging strategy is studied and compared with the conventional non-reneging strategy for different network operation scenarios, particularly in the presence of critical users with stringent service requirements.
