Abstract:
Relaying with packet aggregation has been recognized as an effective strategy to improve both reliability and energy efficiency for industrial wireless sensor networks. However, existing analyses have been largely based on the assumption of reliable feedback, which are not suitable for many practical networks, where feedback messages are transmitted with equal rate as data messages. This letter proposes a selection cooperation protocol using packet aggregation with equal rate feedback. Four aggregation schemes are presented for centralized and distributed scenarios, and a diffusion method is investigated to further increase potential relay number. Simulation results demonstrate the performance of the proposed aggregation schemes.
