Abstract:

We have researched gesture interfaces for persons with motor dysfunction who cannot use normal interface switches. For this purpose, we have collected data on various types of gestures to develop a contactless, non-constraining interface for operating PCs and home electrical appliances by utilizing a commercially available RGB-D camera. We describe the gesture menu and the remote-control device for controlling them.
