In this letter, we propose a novel approach, allowing us to investigate potential characteristics of wireless networks with dominating video streaming traffic. The main feature of this approach is the representation of the system as a closed queueing network with a finite number of sources. The developed technique aims to find basic interrelations between such parameters of video as average bitrate, rebufferings, and smoothness of playback. Such information can be used for performance evaluation of existing content-aware schedulers for mobile base stations and building new effective scheduling algorithms.
