Abstract:
Fast methods for systematic encoding of polar subcodes are proposed. Polar subcodes with systematic encoding are shown to provide lower bit error rate (BER) compared to the case of non-systematic encoding as well as compared to the case of systematic polar codes. The proposed algorithms can be used for 5G polar subcodes, allowing one to reduce BER, decoding complexity and latency.
