Abstract:

A modification of blind method for additive noise variance evaluation based on analysis of characteristics of discrete cosine transform coefficients is described. It takes into account inherent inter-channel correlation of multi-channel images. Numerical simulation results obtained for a large test image database demonstrate essential increase of estimation accuracy due to the proposed modification.
