Abstract:

A combined method of superimposition of a real image (RI) and a virtual image (VI), synthesized on a digital terrain map is proposed. The method is based on a combination of two operating modes: search mode and tracking mode. In the search mode, the superimposition of RI and VI is carried out using a modified version of the correlation-extreme algorithm. In the tracking mode, the VI is formed based on the predicted values of the navigation parameters corrected for the magnitude of the corrections. Corrections are calculated once using the correlation-extreme algorithm when predicted values exceed the limits of a specified error. The forecast of the navigation parameter values is carried out for each frame of the video sequence according to the linear models in the finite memory scheme.
