Abstract:
In this article, I discuss an architecture and set of standards for enabling Internet identity that mirrors the decentralized way that people have used credentials in the physical world for centuries. This identity architecture, called “multisource identity,” enables flexible, ad hoc workflows to be realized on the fly without costly and time-consuming integrations. What's more, it can put people at the center of their online data interactions, creating an ethical system for data sharing that respects human dignity.
