Abstract:

Automatic systems that can monitor the usage profile of vehicles are of particular interest in shared fleets because similar vehicles might be subject to radically different usage modes according to individual driving styles and trip demands. Moreover, such systems must be as vehicle independent as possible so as to be widely applicable without specific training phases.
